Meet Anthony Brown, the visionary behind dwell design. As the founding director, Anthony leads a talented team with a wealth of expertise. His background, shaped by renowned architectural practices and a brief tenure as a guest tutor at the Portsmouth School of Architecture, underscores his commitment to excellence.

 
Anthony's architectural philosophy blends a deep respect for tradition with a passion for innovation. He believes in meticulous craftsmanship and professional standards, ensuring every project is executed with precision. What sets Anthony and his team apart is their ability to rejuvenate old spaces, merging historical charm with modern efficiency. From concept to completion, they strive to exceed expectations with bespoke solutions that are both unique and functional.

Outside of the studio, Anthony is deeply involved in both the operational aspects of dwell design and the transformation of his own 19th-century house into a model of Passivhaus excellence. When he’s not immersed in architectural pursuits, he enjoys quality time with his young family or working on his beloved vintage car.

01 - Concept

Our master planning experience allows us to offer you all the options you need, whether it's refurbishing and extending your home or managing a project involving multiple buildings in a campus format. We apply the same level of rigour and practicality to projects of any size.

If your project requires photo-realistic 3D images or a hand-drawn sketch, we can work with either.

02 - Visuals

Visualisations- Unlike many companies we aim to provide all our skills ‘in house’ and to this end we provide clients with 3D models which are created by our own staff. If a visualisation model is required this method of working allows a swift turnaround and quick development of your project and allows you to be kept fully informed of all the spaces we are designing.

03 - Planning Approval

Planning approval- Our success with planning applications, conservation area consents, listed building applications and applications in the national park areas is around 99%.

04 - Planning Technical

Technical drawings- We love the nuts and bolts of buildings and we want to make sure that they all fit together properly. This is where we’ll also model highly- glazed structures for thermal efficiency as well as detail them perfectly.

Once the builder has been appointed and the work at site is underway we can maintain a presence to help out with anything that may arise as the work progresses.
