The preference from the client here was to be able to have the best access possible to their garden area, which gave us the idea to remove the whole corner of the extension, which leads straight to their hot tub space.
As well as high levels of insulation in the construction, there’s also the benefit of the energy saving sedum roof which is visible from their first floor bedroom. This is far prettier all year round than the flat roof they might otherwise see.
